Underwood Finger-Flite Universal

This typewriter looks like it’s been through a war. When I bought it, it was in a terrible condition. There were bird feathers inside and who knows what else. And just because it was so dirty and ugly, I decided to try to bring it back to life.

It was quite a journey. A long one. Fast forward to today, it’s shining clean on the inside. The outside, however, still retains its patina. The typing feel is excellent. The alignment is a bit off, but that’s how it should be on a machine like this. When I did the typing test, I noticed that the red text doesn’t quite work, but everything else works perfectly.

The case is in pretty rough shape and probably not original.
