Underwood Universal

Underwood is, in my opinion, an underrated brand in the typewriter world. This Universal is small and light – perfect for travel – and it is quite “low budget” (lacks tab function, for example), but is very pleasant to use. Good touch and feel, and it types nicely. The color is sometimes called “Office gray” – sober and stylish.

The only known defect is a “skipping” issue; it sometimes skips an extra space after a letter (see the text sample) – it is not a major problem, maybe it’s more related to the typing technique than the typewriter itself.

Original booklet is included, as well as the case, which is in fine condition. The machine is cleaned and serviced, and has a new ribbon.
